2026 Carmel International Film Festival Volunteers Wanted!
The 2026 Carmel International Film Festival (CIFFest) is calling for volunteers to join our Production Team and keep the world’s oldest international film festival thriving in Carmel.
Our thank you for your volunteerism
– Volunteer’s All Access 1 Day Pass
Each of our active volunteers who participates in the volunteer program will receive a Volunteer’s All Access 1 Day Pass that is good for the day they complete at least one shift of active volunteer service.
We welcome you to sign up for as many days as you’d like to volunteer, and for as many shifts in a day as you’d like to help.
Volunteer Shift Hours of Service
Shifts are generally assigned in four-hour blocks.
- Morning shifts are between 8:00am to 1:00pm
- Afternoon shifts are between 12:30 pm to 6:00pm
- Evening shifts are between 5:30pm to 11:00pm
Volunteer Duties Overview
Volunteers are needed to help with just about every aspect of the festival:
- Setting-up
- Checking-in VIPs and Pass holders
- Selling festival passes, concessions, and merchandise
- Ushering and helping with service at industry parties and gatherings
- Breaking down and cleaning-up the venues

After we receive your form, we’ll carefully consider your preferences while ensuring every role is filled to make this year’s festival a success. We’ll accommodate your choices wherever possible, but please know that final placements are based on what the festival requires most. A dedicated Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch after your application is reviewed and approved. You’ll receive your full schedule once it has been finalized.
